Another year is wrapping up, which means more AmeriCorps Alum have been added to MT and the country as terms of service have been closed out. There is always power in the numbers, especially in terms of service and how this can positively impact our communities.

A recent article was published that ranked MT as the number two state in terms of informal volunteerism in the nation. That captured 594,000 volunteers across the state helping out a neighbor, someone in need, or a community. Go Montana!

In the new year, we hope to add to our Last Best Alumni Council, so if you, or someone you know would be interested in serving on our council, please reach out to info@lastbestalums.com

We have a few big events coming up in the new year, we have MLK Jr Day of Service, and Serve Symposium. You likely remember how MLK Jr Day of service is a call to action for volunteer events Nation wide. We encourage you to be active, to spread the word on an event, and to share with us. We'd love to feature you on our Facebook page, or even in a write-up, about the great work Alums are capable of accomplishing. Members of our LBAC will be at the Serve Symposium for AmeriCorps week, we hope to catch you there!

Lastly, the LBAC wants your story! Why did you Serve with AmeriCorps? How did it impact your life? What was the impact on the community you served? These stories are powerful, they are powerful for engaging new members, and they are powerful for securing support for AmeriCorps. Please consider sending along your story to us for sharing!

Thanks for joining us, thanks for reading, and we hope you have a wonderful new year.

The LBAC
